Barca still awaiting a response from the Committee

FC Barcelona is still awaiting a response from the Competition Committee for the request that once they made following the report of the Technical Committee of Arbitrators against Gerard Pique.

The club spokesman, Toni Freixa said that day that "we sent a letter to the RFEF in which we ask that they  inform us of the criteria the committee of experts to report incidents to the Competition Committee.
We want to know the criteria it uses to automatically enter in some actions. We want to know the rules of the game to know better what to expect. " A position that is in line with the statements made Guardiola last Saturday in Mallorca.
Precisely the Catalans club will present arguments to the Competition Committee for a second yellow card that saw Thiago Alcantara in that game and earned him expulsion. This time, the club understands that unlike previous cases, the Committee will address their arguments because these images show that the player did not give the ball with his hand.

"Another controversial play that seems that it wasn't"

Pedro regrets the expulsion of Thiago, but stresses the importance of the victory of Barcelona against a team as demanding as Mallorca.
Happy faces in the expedition Barca after the trouble. And for good reason after a meeting uncomfortable and a major setback (playing with ten for a half-hour).
Peter, who came home yesterday, stressed the importance of the victory to keep fighting the League to Madrid. Especially in a difficult stadium against a team very demanding. "It was a strange match for the expulsion, but I think the team has been very well especially in the second half and we're very happy with the win."
Mascherano, meanwhile, also stressed the importance of victory and acknowledged difficulties to emerge victorious. "We had to suffer much, but in the end we managed to dominate the match. It was a very tough match: we did a good job and the defense have been relatively well. "

Guardiola: "The referees and committees have not been respected"

Guardiola was delighted by the victory in Mallorca but jumped at the opportunity to comment on the latest actions of the Competition Committee and Technical Committee of Referees.
Although Pep clearly expressed no dissatisfaction with the penalties to Real Madrid, he does believe that the matter is they are getting out of hand.
" I think that referees and committees have not been respected and are now are suspects in any of their decisions. The problem is that they have not marked a clear line. Have missed many things and now always are suspected. With a serious committee, Pique deserved a sanction for his statements but also for them who say 'steal', too, "Guardiola said.
Pep was particularly pleased with the team's response to the expulsion of Thiago and said "" With the effort and no excuses " they were able to go on.
Guardiola also praised the self-sacrifice of his players to work for the team. "We have players available to do things for the team. Not for their sake but for everyone".

Guardiola: Six-point gap to Real Madrid is still considerable

Pep Guardiola has admitted that he was happy that Real Madrid was held to a 1-1 draw by Villarreal on Wednesday, but feels its advantage at the top of the Primera Division table remains considerable.

"We are behind them, but it is clear that it is better for us that they draw than win," Guardiola said.

"Six points are fewer than 10, but the difference is still a lot. Madrid have two draws in a row, but it does not mean they will draw the rest of their games.

"What usually happens is that Madrid win almost all of their matches. That is why the distance is so significant. That is why I said the Liga title was lost. It was a comment purely based on sporting matters."

Guardiola conceded that the stalemate at El Madrigal was favorable for his own side, but refused to comment on Madrid's criticism of the refereeing decisions.

"I did not watch Madrid's game against Villarreal, so I have no opinion about it," Guardiola told reporters at a news conference.

"When I learned about the draw, I was happier than I would be if they had won, but I slept at night the exact same way."
